MCI Medical Clinics Inc. is pleased to offer your organization our on-site Cholesterol, Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure Clinics. These clinics are conducted at your work place by a licensed professional, who will take each employee through a series of displays reviewing basic information about cholesterol, blood sugar (diabetes) or blood pressure. Cholesterol education includes tips on reading product labels and making wise food choices. We review the early warning sign of diabetes and explain how high blood pressure affects the heart. Employees will be asked to sign consents and will receive confidential written reports of their test results. The nurse will advise individuals whose results are abnormal to follow-up with their family physician. While individual results will remain confidential, the employer will receive a general report stating the number of employees who were found to have abnormal results. Cholesterol, blood sugar or blood pressure clinics are very popular with employees, particularly those who do not see their family doctor on a regular basis. These on-site services are a great choice for employee appreciation days or health fairs. Employers benefit by knowing that any employees who are found to have abnormal results will have been advised to follow-up with their doctors.
